WESLEY THOMAS SLOVER Fourteen-year Vinton resident, Wesley Thomas Slover, 63, of Vinton, died May 20, 1988 at Sierra Valley Community Hospital, Loyalton. Born May 30, 1924 in Oklahoma, Slover moved to Vinton from San Pablo, Calif, in 1974. May 20 BASINGER, Dennis C. and OTTO WILLIAM MAEHL Otto William Maehl, 73, of Willows, died May 25, 1988 at Eastern Plumas Hospital, Portola. Born in San Francisco, Maehl had summered at his Lake Davis home for the past 20 years. He attended Sequoia High School in Redwood City, and was a life member in the Bay Area Painter's Union, Local 15. Maehl, a painter for 40 years, retired from Doolitle and Maehl.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Maehl of Willows, his brothers Richard and Charles Maehl of Manteca, and sisters Mildred Peckman, Elizabeth DeBenedetti of Redwood City, and Florence Williams of Redding, Calif. Maehl was cremated at the Masonic Memorial Gardens. No services were held. Donations may be given in his memory to the Eastern Plumas Hospital Auxiliary. 1 1 i t.

i KARLI GENEE SMITH Karli Genee Smith was born May 13, 1988 at the Tracy, Calif. Community Memorial Hospital. Her parents are Donna and Craig Smith of Tracy. The girl weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounce. She is the granddaughter of Linda Dunkley of Chester and Marge and Charlie Smith of South San Francisco.

DANIEL BYRON OGLE Daniel Bryon Ogle was born to Thomas and Kathryn parents Wade and Kathleen Blickenstaff at San Joaquin Hospital in Stockton. Born May 13, the baby weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces and measured 20 inches long. Maternal grandparents "are Johnny and Katie Fancher of Quincy. Maternal great grandmothers are Laura Ann Woodard of Arizona and Kathleen A velar of Quincy. Paternal grandparents are-Gary and Mardell Blickenstaff of Areata, and Ed and Jan Mar-berry of Bakersfield.

Paternal great grandparents are Virgil and' Jane Blickenstaff of Blue PAID POLITICAL ED JOHN MARCEL McCUTCHEON John McCutcheon 73, died May 19, 1988 in Susanville. He was born in Indian Valley Nov. 15, 1914 and lived in the area most of his life. He worked for Pacific Gas and Electric Co. as an electrician.

He was a member of the Native Sons in. Taylors ville and a board member of the Plumas Unified School District. McCutcheon is survived by his wife, Ruth McCutcheon of Susanville; his son, John McCutcheon of Taylorsville; his stepson, Kenneth Pence of Placerville; his daughter, Barbara Anicich of Rancho Cardova, his brother, Vernon McCutcheon of Redding; his sister, Lois Alexander of Quincy; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren Graveside services were held May 28 at the Taylorsville Cemetery. BARRETT NICHOLAS KUPROVZEFF Barrett Nicholas Kuprovzeff, 34, of Chilcoot, died May 20, 1988 in an auto accident. Born in San Francisco, Kuprovzeff was a truck driver for Leaseway Transportation.

Kuprovzeff is survived by his father and mother, Nicholas and Evelyn Barrett Kuprovzeff of Pacifica, and his sisters Janice B. Putnam reported to the Plumas County Jail to serve 180 days for driving under the influence with priors on May 25.
